Tang Yi

Prior to filmmaking, Tang Yi was a singer-songwriter for Universal Hong Kong. Her debut EP, Seriously, peaked at No. 1 on Hong Kong iTunes Store in its first release week. She moved to New York after being accepted into NYU graduate film programme. In her films, she focuses on unheard voices and untold stories from women’s perspective. She was named one of the “25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2020” by Austin Film Festival.
