A young man is sent to La Maca, a prison in the middle a forrest on the Ivory Coast, ruled by its inmates. As tradition goes, with the rising of the red moon, the prison Boss designates him to be the storyteller to the other prisoners for the night. Learning what fate awaits him once the story is over, he begins to narrate the mystical life of the legendary outlaw named Zama King and decides to make the story last until dawn. This dinamic and visually impressive drama screened at last year’s Venice and Toronto festivals.
