Schoolteacher Emi’s career is threatened when a sex tape of her and her husband is uploaded to the internet. Forced to face a group of furious parents asking for her dismissal, she clashes with them over their morality concerns. Romanian director Radu Jude (The Happiest Girl in the World – ZFF 2009 Special Mention, Everybody in Our Family – ZFF 2012, Golden Pram), is a regular and beloved guest at ZFF. Winner of the Golden Bear for Best Film, Bad Luck Banging cuts at the heart of our society’s ailments and pathologies, in Jude’s trademark style, with searing precision and a hefty dose of humour.
