Dima has punched Tobi in the face and he is supposed to apologize, but he is not exactly sorry. On his way to meet Tobi, he encounters a diverse cast of characters representative of the German society and every time he’s in for the same struggle – with his own Jewish-German identity. The film won a special jury mention at Clermont-Ferrand.

Arkadij Khaet, Mickey Paatzsch

Arkadij Khaet

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Arkadij and his family moved from Moldova to Germany. After graduating from high school, he lived in Israel for a while and then moved to Cologne, where he enrolled in film and television studies. He is currently a student of film directing at the Baden-Württemberg Academy.

Mickey Paatzsch

After studying directing at the Macromedia Cologne, Mickey Paatzsch gathers experience as a freelance filmmaker and directs his own shorts. In 2019, he completed his graduate studies in philosophy at the University of Cologne. He co-directs his films with colleague and friend Arkadij Khaet.
