It is not easy to present any country and its short filmmaking in one program, so this is by no means a representative example of Finnish cinema. This compilation presents what I find interesting, good, and perhaps even typical when it comes to us Finns. Three out of five films have been directed by women, something I consider representative of Finnish cinema. In recent years, there has been an increasing number of female filmmakers who bring their vision and new points of view to a world that has too long been dominated by one gender. Enjoy the films!
